Hamilton learned its work clock from trade, government, and whoever paid for the first telegraph. Today that clock is Pacific/Auckland, UTC+13 in January. Not Ontario. NZ time, campus plus agribusiness, earlier nights than Auckland. The polite window around the city-centre offices is 08:00–17:00 local. Treat overtime glow as scenery, not consent. Hamilton still shifts with daylight saving (UTC+13 in January, UTC+12 in July). Daylight is honest here; if it looks like evening, it probably is.
